The owner and editor of this web site is Dr. F. W. Danby, a dermatologist in private practice whose interest in acne, hormones, dairy products and dietary influences on skin disease goes back over 30 years. As an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Dermatology), he teaches at Dartmouth Medical School.
The lead author of the article published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology in February 2005, Dr. C. A. Adebamowo, earned his second doctorate, from Harvard, partly on the strength of research into the link between acne and dairy. He is a gynecological surgeon and epidemiologist who presently works in Nigeria.
The senior author of the article, Dr. W.C. Willett, heads the Harvard School of Public Health’s School of Nutrition. The other co-authors are members of his team of epidemiologists, nutritionists and other scientists.
Dr. Danby wrote the commentary published in the same journal, plus commentary on the new classification of rosacea and a brief article on why we have sebaceous glands.
